![]() Royal Ruby
Royal Ruby was very popular and had a long production span, from 1938 into the 1960s, and again in 1977. This means that many pieces, all relatively inexpensive, will be available to collectors. Many popular Anchor Hocking patterns were made in Royal Ruby, including Fire-King Charm (1950-56), Bubble (1934-65) and Oyster and Pearl (1938-1940). Rarer and more valuable pieces of Royal Ruby include the cigarette box, the three quart pitcher, the punch bowl, and the water bottle. Standard references include Mauzy's Depression Glass (Schiffer Publishing) and Collectible Glassware from the 40s, 50s and 60s by Gene and Cathy Florence (Collector Books). Hobnail pitcher: .
