Here is a very interesting and lovely set of hand painted dishes. Most all of the blanks were made by the Hutschenreuther Co. of Selb, Bavaria. They were painted by Katharine Brown Kenty of Lisbon, Ohio. She signed each piece and dated most of them when she painted them. It looks like it took her over a year to paint them all (1924-1925). There are about 50 pieces in all. There are 6 each: dinner plates (9.75 in.); salad plates (7.5 in.); bread & butter plates (6.25 in.); bowls (5 in.); bowls (6 in.); soup bowls (7.5 in.); and cup & saucer sets and one extra cup. Also a covered vegetable bowl, covered butter dish, celery bowl, oval serving bowl, and a 16 inch platter. There is a creamer and sugar painted with the same pattern on a pearlized blank and salt and pepper shakers one of which doesn't match the rest of the set.

On the back of some of the pieces she not only signed them but also commented on fires etc. that happened in Lisbon on the day she painted them. Most all of the pieces are in good condition with just a couple with small chips and 1 cup and saucer with small hairlines.
